Roller chain can be identified using 3 main dimensions, pitch, roller diameter and pin diameter.
The pitch of the chain is measured from the centre of one pin (P) to the centre of the next pin (P). See the below drawing.
The roller diameter is D1 on the below drawing.
The pin diameter is D2 on the below drawing.
